Hailed by the organisers as the biggest and most successful DSEi (Defence Systems & Equipment International) Exhibition yet, by the time the doors closed on the last day of the event on 18th September no less than 32,000 visitors and 100 VIP delegations had walked through the doors of ExCeL in the London Docklands to see the latest products, systems and services of 1,500 exhibitors.

McGeoch Technology was one of them!

As the global platform of choice for key government figures and influential policy makers within the Defence & Security sector, DSEi also featured over 300 seminar sessions and keynotes addressing the challenges, developments and future of the sector’s ever-changing landscape and facilitating knowledge sharing and networking around key topics and technical areas.

As well as ministerial keynotes by Mr Philip Dunne MP, Minister of State for Defence Procurement, Ministry of Defence and The Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP, Secretary of State for Defence, all four UK MOD Service Chiefs of Staff delivered keynotes in the exhibition floor theatres:

  • Admiral Sir George Zambellas, First Sea Lord and Chief of Staff of the Royal Navy (Naval Theatre)
  • General Sir Nicholas Carter, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army (East Theatre)
  • Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford, Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Air Force (Air Theatre)
  • General Sir Richard Barrons, Commander, Joint Forces Command (Security & Special Forces Theatre)

DSEi is held every two years and McGeoch Technology was exhibiting for the seventh time since their initial presence in 2001. The McGeoch Stand – Number S10/275 in the South Hall Naval Zone – was devoted to the company’s expertise in marine lighting and electrical control equipment including instrumentation panels, motor starter and drive panels and power distribution panels.

A new 15 minute video presentation – filmed specifically for the exhibition – also highlighted the company’s extensive manufacturing capabilities in Central Birmingham.

The McGeoch stand was staffed by John D’Ambrogio (Managing Director), Lee Wrangles (Commercial Manager) and Kristian Howe (Project Engineer) and attracted a record number of visitors.

Commenting on the company’s latest presence at the exhibition,

Lee Wrangles said:
“A big thank you to everyone who had the chance to visit our stand at DSEi last week. It was great to catch up with so many old and new faces during the week and we’re looking forward to working on new opportunities in the near future. These are exciting times here at McGeoch!

The opportunity to showcase our full capability and to promote the investment that the business has made over the last couple of years will no doubt allow us to demonstrate that we can be serious players in the solution provision market and ultimately ensure that we offer good value for money and offer the best in class service to our customers.”
